Notice the HT-PWW rate is actually lower per unit than LT-PWW, even though the fixed charge is higher. That trade-off matters once a pumping load crosses a certain size, and it’s worth coming back to later.
The formula behind the numbers
Streetlight consumption isn’t complicated once broken down. Two steps, nothing more. Daily Consumption (Units) = (Total Fixture Wattage × Night Operating Hours) ÷ 1000 Monthly Consumption (Units) = Daily Units × 30 Days Water pumping stations follow the same logic, just with motor kW instead of lamp wattage, and running hours instead of night hours.
